We’ve discussed this, and I ponder it. I think Joe’s got a little bit of fight in him. I don’t think you need to mud wrestle enough to actually try and beat one of the turd polishers, just hard enough to impress some of the more moderate people out there. I read an opinion on The Bulwark where the writer posits that Trump is doing nothing more now than drumming up subscriptions for his post-presidency cable channel. Wouldn’t it be funny if it flopped?

Yeah, Joe and even Bernie have some snark in them (where Clinton just made off the cuff remarks, and paid for it in part for her gender, IMO). They need to use it, but wisely. Like you say, not get as muddy as the deplorable trash in power now, but still levy some valid criticism, and not entirely politely.

Also, if the Rs go after Biden’s son, I hope to everything good in the world that the Ds go after 45's devilspawn.

If the Rs were smart, they’d abandon the pity the rich trickle down shit, and offer comprehensive pandemic aid - buying votes. Doesn’t seem likely.  Fingers crossed this is the beginning of the end of the most corrupt and divisive regime in American history.

I will be interested to see what Chris Christie does - a jerk, but kind of a tragic figure who sold his soul to support this shitshow, and was rejected by it. Why? No doubt because he was on the team who worked to send the senior conman Kushner to much deserved prosecution. It will be interesting to see what he does, as he is on the state level - maybe he will lead for some further prosecutions.

The books will no doubt be full of “I saw nothing”.
